A list of ten facts: Jeopardy had their two-day Teen Tournament final last week. All three contestants were high school girls. Two of the girls — Rose and Catherine — appeared to be taller and more confident, while the third — Elyse — was a little more awkward and shy. After the first day, Elyse was ahead by almost $11,000. Heading into Final Jeopardy on Day Two, she was ahead by enough that she could have bet nothing and still won the whole tournament. Instead, she bet $28,000 — ALMOST HER ENTIRE DAY TWO TOTAL OF $28,400 (the most she could have wagered) — even though it meant she could have ended up losing if she had gotten it wrong. ELYSE IS A BALLER. She got it right and ended up with a two-day total of $79,600. She was so excited that she was shaking. It was the cutest goddamn thing I have ever seen.
